ABOUT
Zachary S. Burroughs has devoted the past 19 years to practicing bankruptcy law in both Tennessee and Virginia. His journey in law began with a commitment to helping those in need. Following law school, he was a general practitioner before joining a large law firm that specializes in debt relief and bankruptcy law. During his over 14 years with that firm, Zach became a partner and the managing attorney over all offices in the Tennessee region. While in debtor practice, he was named a top debtor attorney by Cityview magazine. He regularly volunteered his time and counseled debtors at the Pro Bono Debt Relief Clinic.
Prior to joining the Boleman Law Firm, Zach served as a staff attorney for the Chapter 13 Trustee for the Northern and Northeastern Divisions of the Eastern District of Tennessee. As staff attorney, he assisted in the administration of Chapter 13 cases, appeared on behalf of the Trustee at court hearings and creditor meetings, investigated the financial background of debtors, examined proof of claims filed by creditors to determine if they are proper, conducted calculations of proposed bankruptcy plans to ensure feasibility under bankruptcy law, and represented the Trustee in state court matters.
Zach is a native of Essex County, Virginia. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, nature, camping, and watching college sports.
