Linda opened her own law firm upon graduation from Marshall-Wythe School of Law in 1980 and immediately began focusing on consumer bankruptcy. She served as a Chapter 7 trustee from 1983 to 1987 when she joined the Office of the U.S. Trustee as an attorney-advisor. She was instrumental in establishing the Tidewater Bankruptcy Bar Association and served on the Board in various capacities.
In 1991 she joined the Hampton, VA Law Office of Richard Poinsett, which merged with Boleman Law Firm in 2011. She serves as an attorney. Linda speaks on bankruptcy issues to Virginia bar associations and served as adjunct bankruptcy instructor at her alma mater, Marshall-Wythe School of Law.
When not practicing law, Linda practices music and sings baritone with a barbershop quartet.
